BEGINNING OF THE END FOR FLASH?

item1

Flash has been used by web designers for nearly 15 years now and is widely used all over the Web.

But this era may be coming to and end as we are enter a new era of technology.

Mobile internet browsing is now a huge market and Apple doesnít support Flash on its mobile products.

Because of this, more and more web designers no longer use flash and are designing their websites to be compatible with the mobile applications.

Apple had sold over 180 million products that run the iOS operating system that does not support flash. Appleís anti-flash stance is all about market power, politics and technology and Adobe has been finding it difficult to come up with a solution that works on a device that is much less powerful than the average mac or pc.

180 million iPhones, iPods and iPads is a huge number of devices not to support flash for your mobile content and It looks like Apple have no plans to support it, so we will need another alternative.

An alternative to Flash is being developed in HTML5 and Apple and Google already support this in their browsers. This could well mean the end of flash when this is released.

Flash is too well established and widespread to just disappear overnight! It will take a while before HTML 5 comes and becomes established and when it does Flash will gradually fizzle out after that.
